ARONA council will unveil new Braille tourist maps and tactile information boards for the blind at the FITUR tourism conference in Madrid this week.

The council, in conjunction with the tourist board, will exhibit promotional maps of the municipality printed in the Braille textured writing system at the International Tourism Trade Fair in the Spanish Capital.
The maps are intended to make tourism accessible to visually disabled people.
Arona mayor José Alberto González Reverón and councillor for tourism Ángel David Herrera González said that Arona was “continuing its commitment to the importance of accessibility and its contribution to the value of the tourism business.”
