FORCE 10 winds battered the Canary Islands on Monday and Tuesday, disrupting flights.

Winds of up to 100 kilometres per hour (60 miles per hour) swept across the archipelago. Some regional airline flights were cancelled, to the benefit of ferry operators.
The Canarian government declared an orange alert in response to the rough weather, which follows the February 1 flash floods and February 6 earth tremor.
